Updated June 4, 2024 – Flournoy Development Group (FDG) has broken ground on a new Active Adult (55+) community in Asheville, NC, to be named Weller at The Preserve.  The class A community will be an integral part of The Preserve at Busbee Mountain, a 130-acre master planned residential development along Sweeten Creek Road in Central Asheville’s dynamic southern corridor.  Weller will be preceded by Ellison at The Preserve, a 315-unit conventional multifamily community, and later followed by a second conventional multifamily phase and single-family estate lots.


The 179-unit community will feature uninterrupted mountain and forest views, multiple elevators in each residential building, conditioned corridors, well-appointed bistro dining area, multi-functional club room, state-of-the-art fitness/wellness center, resort style swimming pool with lap lane, outdoor putting green, community gardening areas and more. Residents will also enjoy planned community events and social activities with the help of an on-site lifestyle coordinator.

Ideally positioned on the western slopes of Busbee Mountain in the thriving Central Asheville submarket, the 23+ acre site’s landscape provides privacy and scenic mountain views while maintaining convenient accessibility to outdoor recreation, retail and entertainment hubs in nearby Biltmore Village, Biltmore Park, and the Hendersonville Road corridor.
