August 9, 2022 – Flournoy Development Group (FDG) has broken ground on a new multifamily development in Tampa, Florida’s fast-growing Wesley Chapel submarket. The 401-unit community, to be named Cobalt, will consist of two-, three- and four-story buildings offering a mix of one-, two-, and three- bedroom apartment homes with over 25% of homes having direct access one or two car garages. The 45-acre property will include a large grand lawn park, several lakes/ponds with fountains, resort-style pool and outdoor entertainment courtyard, communal co-working lounge, stylish hobby/craft studio, and modern fitness and wellness center. The entrance to the site will connect to an existing traffic light and provide sole access for the new community.
Residents of Cobalt will enjoy easy access to I-75 allowing for convenient travel to downtown Tampa and the I-75 office corridor, as well as a wide range of shopping and convenience locations including Tampa Premium Outlets, The Shops at Wiregrass, multiple grocery stores, Costco, and Sam’s Club.

Construction is currently underway with plans to welcome residents in winter 2023. The Cobalt project team includes architect James Wesseldyk and Associates, civil engineer AndersonLane, and general contractor Great Southern. The project will be managed by Flournoy Properties Group.
