Flournoy Helping Hands held a portfolio-wide blanket drive benefitting dialysis centers in our local communities. Throughout the month of September, all FPG communities hosted a blanket drive to benefit patients currently going through dialysis, a process that often leaves them feeling cold due to the transfer of blood outside the body.
Donation drop-off stations were set up in our leasing offices along with resident events centered around this initiative. “Sip & Tie” nights, “Blankets & Bingo” and “Beer for Blankets” are just a few of the fun and creative events our properties held to help draw awareness to our cause while giving residents extra opportunities to participate and have some fun while doing so!
Collectively, we were able to donate over 360 blankets to various local dialysis centers thanks to the generosity of our teams and residents. We even have a resident in Knoxville, TN donating 12 quilts that she is hand-sewing specifically for this cause! We have loved seeing all of the helping hands and big hearts at work with this campaign!
