As President and Chief Executive Officer, Blake holds overall responsibility for FDG’s strategy, operations, organizational structure and team development. He serves as a member of the FDG Board of Directors and Chair of the FDG Investment and Management Committees. Prior to his current role, Blake served as EVP, Chief Investment Officer and Chief Operating Officer where he oversaw the firm’s investment strategy, development operations and capital markets activities. He also previously co-led the firm’s Southeast development practice responsible for sourcing and executing new development opportunities in Georgia, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina. Since joining the company in 2008, he has overseen the financing, development, acquisition, asset management and disposition of over $2.0 billion worth of multi-family, mixed use and seniors housing investments exceeding 10,000 units. Prior to joining Flournoy, Blake was a land and investment sales professional with the Colliers Multifamily Advisory Group.
Blake earned his B.A. in International Economics from Carson-Newman University. He is member of the National Multi-Housing Council and Urban Land Institute. Blake lives in Columbus, GA with his wife Megan, and their three sons. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, college football and spending time with friends and family.
